Buses and Trolley-buses |

In Bishkek there are mainly private mini-busses. The cost is 5 soms (about 12.5 cents). Also there are busses and trolley-busses (i.e. busses that run via electric cables) in the city. A 'proezdnoi bilet' (monthly pass) is essential for travel on all busses and trolley-busses in Bishkek. These cards are available at bus and trolley-bus drivers, and at bus stations. It is less expensive than buying a ticket on a bus or a trolley-bus. The IUK gives a significant discount on the cost of the multiride tickets for students.
